Here’s a step-by-step on how to run raids using @cherrytgbot.
Cherry is one of the most popular raid bots on Telegram. 🚀
If you are new to raids and not tech-savvy, this thread gives you everything you need to know to run successful raids with it.
How do you go about this? Let’s talk about requirements first.
If you want to run a raid, there are three major requirements:
1. You need to have the @cherrytgbot in your Telegram group.
2. The @cherrytgbot must have admin rights in the group.
3. You need to have admin rights to be able to use the bot.
If these requirements are not met, ask the group owner to add the bot to the group and give admin rights to both the bot and yourself.
Once all requirements are in place, it is time to start raiding.
Telegram bot commands start with the “/” symbol.
To access @cherrytgbot commands, go to the Telegram group where you have admin rights and type “/” in the chat box.
Telegram have a lot of different commands, but you just need one.
The command you need to run raids is “/raid”.
But if you use this command without any parameters, this is what you will see: Cherry Bot default response for an undefined /raid command.
Hint: You don’t want to use the default interface. There is a better way.
When creating a raid with @cherrytgbot, structure your command like this:
/raid [link] [likes] [comments] [retweets] [bookmarks]
But replace everything that you see in [ ] symbols with your own data.
If that last post is a bit to technical, don’t worry, here’s an example:
/raid https://twitter.com/username/status/94735140441744 4 3 2 1
If you type this command in your group, the @cherrytgbot will start a raid for that link targeting: 4 likes, 3 comments, 2 reposts, and 1 bookmark.
All you have to do is to choose which link to use and the targets to raid.
If you have sent the right command, here’s what you will see:
At this point you can double check the link, and the amount of likes, comments, reposts, and bookmarks you want from the raid.
If you are ready to go, click on “Start Raid”. If not, click on “Cancel Raid”.
Once you run a few raids, you will soon become a professional.
When raids are completed with success, you will se a positive response:
But what to do if you are not getting enough responses to finish the raid?
If it runs for too long, the raid might have a negative effect.
A raid that does not complete might create doubts in the minds of people as they might start thinking that people are losing interest in your project.
You can use the command “/stop” to stop a raid, but here’s what you get:
I think you will agree with me that it doesn’t look as exciting as the result we can get when a raid is completed successfully.
So, what I recommend is to set small targets to start with.
It’s always better to have small targets and get your community to complete the raid, which gives everyone a great sense of accomplishment.
With time you will find out what are the best targets to use.
Remember that you can always raid the same post, if you think that your Telegram group is busier and there is a lot more people to raid.
