Why Hooks Matter
If your first line doesn’t capture attention, the rest of your post will never be read. The hook is 80% of the work.
Framework 1: How to [Desire] without [Pain]
This is the classic copywriting formula. It promises a highly desirable outcome while removing the biggest obstacle.
Example: “How to generate 10 inbound leads a week without spending a dime on ads.”
Framework 2: The “Mistake” Hook
People are more motivated by avoiding pain than gaining pleasure. Highlighting a mistake grabs attention instantly.
Example: “99% of founders are making this fatal mistake on their landing page (and it’s costing them thousands).”
Framework 3: The Timeframe Transformation
Provide a specific timeline for achieving a massive result.
Example: “How I grew my LinkedIn following from 0 to 10k in exactly 90 days.”
Framework 4: Unpopular Opinion
Polarizing content performs incredibly well. State something controversial yet defendable.
Example: “Unpopular opinion: You don’t need a website. You just need a LinkedIn profile and a calendar link.”
